FIRST: If your vehicle’s check engine light is permanently on it is an automatic fail. Please make the necessary repairs before setting an appointment

Utah Mobile Emissions is the first and only mobile emissions testing service in the US. We are working with other counties to expand our services. But at this time we are only able to service vehicles within Cache and Davis Counties.
Requirements are different for each County. Please see the tables below to see if your vehicle needs an emissions test.

Exemptions: Any Diesel with a GVWR greater than 14,001 lbs
In the interest of public health Utah state requires vehicles to be tested to make sure they pass standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). A car that doesn’t have properly functioning emissions system could put out more than 100X the amount of a normal functioning car. This increases pollutants in the air potentially causing major health problems.

- Any diesel vehicle 1997 & older.
- Any diesel with a GVWR greater than 14,000 lbs.
Because we come to your home or business you don’t have to take any time off work, wait in line, or drive to a mechanic. An emissions test will take about 10 minutes!
Yes, but you get a free emission retest within 15 days! If more repairs are needed you may qualify for a waiver and or financial assistance through the Davis County Vehicle Repair Assistance Program (VRAP).
Motor homes require special equipment that can’t be used mobile. You will have to visit a shop to get that emissions test done.
